How can I avoid using hardcoded credentials in Javascript

I am working on a Javascript application in which a password has been hardcoded i.e var key ='333666'. As a part of the security vulnerability check, the application artefact was scanned by the Veracode tool (https://www.veracode.com/) and this hardcoding was reported as a vulnerability. Can someone suggest if there are any approaches to replace this hardcoding ? ( similar to the vproperty file based approach in Java)
