How to get such stylish plot lines?

I want my plot to look kinda like this:

I already tried make_interp_spline with k=1 (linear) and with k=3 (cubic). The data has 100 dots before applying a spline. I tried to to squeeze the data to different number of dots: 30, 60, 90. But it still does not look similar. I use the code:

xData, yData = ...
xnData       = np.linspace(min(xData), max(xData), 60) # here I squeeze to 60 dots
spl          = make_interp_spline(xData, yData, k=1)   # here it's linear
ynData       = spl(xnData)
ax.plot(xnData, ynData, ...)

I get this:

I understand that the data from the original is different from my data. But it does not feel like the problem is only about the data. The top graph looks kinda edgy and cool. How can I achieve such an effect? Thank you for attention.
