I can't figure out why my if statement isn't running after I submit the form...

<input type="submit" name="deleteBook" id="deleteBook" value="Delete Book" />
    if(isset($_POST['deleteBook'])){
        $deleteQuery='DELETE FROM book WHERE Title= " $value " ';
        $mySqlCommand2 = $myPdo->prepare($deleteQuery);
        $myResult = $mySqlCommand2->execute();
        if($myResult)
            echo 'Book successfully deleted.';
        else
            echo 'Oops! Something went wrong.';
    }

Nothing happens after I hit "Delete Book". Any thoughts?
