Is it possible to change Wordpress permalink structures for posts with different formats?

I am using a custom permalink structure in my Wordpress blog which defines the path as:


This works great for posts which have a title. But often when I'm putting in 'asides' I forgo titles. This leads to a quirk in Wordpress where the permalink is basically a doubling of the post_id.

I'm wondering if there is a Plugin I can install, or a hack I can implement in Wordpress, which lets me change the permalink structure for posts that are given the 'asides' format?

I've tried 'Custom Post Type Permalinks' and 'Simple Post Type Permalinks' and neither seem to be what I'm looking for.
