i am making a google chrome extension and currently, i want a function that either close the twitch.tv tab or put volume of the stream to 0 is it possible or maybe the best way would be to mute the chrome tab.

My problem is that i'm not sure what to target and how in their HTML code.

Could anyone help ? thanks !

i started with this for twitch but i think a chrome tab mute function would be more useful ( for other websites)

function sleepmode() {
    volumeControl = document.body.querySelector(".video-player")
}
