How can I make a POST/PUT request using Java and api.myjson.com?

I found a tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vcn4OuV4Ixg&t=291s ) to fetch data from myjson.com which is a website that allows people to write something in Json format and then generate a link (for example https://api.myjson.com/bins/bx3hs) which can be easily accessed. But then I wanted to post some more data on the same link or even create new links through code on a separate java program. From what I read here http://myjson.com/api this seems doable but I only have knowledge on Java so I can't understand the jQuery Examples. My question is similar to this one Writing/Updating JSON to URL (www.myjson.com) but this one never got properly answered. I believe that creating something like an AsyncTask class would be the way to go but I don't really have experience with Http connections and POST/PUT requests to do it myself.
