Created object in React Native is moving on IOS but not Android

I am new to react native and I'm having a little trouble getting the created ball object to move in android. The code I have now properly moves the object by dragging it on the screen with one finger in IOS. However, when it comes to android, it requires two fingers to move it instead of one finger like on ios. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The code for the movement of the object is below. Also, the ball is locked on the Y-axis so the ball can only move left and right.

const MoveFinger = (entities, { touches }) => {
   touches.filter(a => a.type === "move").forEach(a => {
    let finger = entities[a.id];
    if (finger) {
        finger.position = [
        finger.position[0] + a.delta.pageX,
      ];
    }
  });
  return entities;
};
export { MoveFinger };

The expected outcome is for the ball to move with one finger on android, but instead it requires two fingers.
